Dear North Park Family:

I am pleased to announce that the Biblical Field and I have called Dr. J. Nathan Clayton, effective August 16, 2018, to become our Old Testament Fellow. Dr. Clayton, Ph.D. Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, has taught as an adjunct for several years here at North Park Theological Seminary, at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and at Moody Bible Institute. His dissertation research is entitled “Sign, Service, and Song: The Levites of I Chronicles 10-29 in Rhetorical, Historical and Theological Perspectives.” He is a member of the Society of Biblical Literature, the Institute for Biblical Research, and the Evangelical Theological Society. As a teaching fellow, he will be teaching a number of courses in the area of Old Testament studies including Hebrew. Married for twenty years, Dr. Clayton is the proud father of four children. Armida Belmonte Stephens – Master of Theology (ThM),
Dallas Theological Seminary, is a rising Latina scholar/practitioner. She is transitioning from her service as Managing Director, The Paul G. Hiebert Center for World Christianity and Global Theology, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. She previously served as Research and Consultation Coordinator, The Mosaic Young Adult Ministry Initiative, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and Lily Endowment. Belmonte Stephens is a native of New Mexico, a second-generation Mexican-American, and a pastor’s kid who was raised in the immigrant church. She is also part of the teaching team for the ECC’s Covenant Orientation courses. She was appointed as a Theology Fellow in the Department of Theology and History effective January 15, 2018.
