Please join us this Thursday, December 6th for Chapel at 11:00am
It is hard to believe, but this coming Thursday will be our last chapel service of the semester. As such we encourage you all to join us, to worship alongside each other before many of us go our separate ways over the holidays. This is a wonderful time to be united as a community, worshiping together in light of the family bond that has formed over this semester and semesters past.
This Thursday will also be our one advent service for this season. We will be lighting the advent candles and reflecting upon the scriptures that speak to us the story of great waiting. We encourage you to enter into the story of God’s people past who waited hopefully for the Christ’s coming. We also encourage you to bring your laments and pains as we enter into the dark where the hope of Christ’s future coming shines; remembering that hope is often strongest and light brightest when lament is present and darkness is acknowledged. May this service be a light of hope in the midst of our laments.
As always lunch will be held afterward in Magnuson.
