Chapel Corner…February 22

Join us for chapel this Thursday, February 22nd, at 11 am.

Please join us for a very special chapel this week as we experience a special healing chapel. This will be a powerful experience and we would love to have you all join us as we listen to how the Lord would like to bring healing in our lives individually and as a community. The theme of this week’s message will be “Didn’t I tell you not to raise my hopes” and will be out of 2 Kings 4:8-28. We sincerely hope that this time will be a powerful encounter with God for everyone in attendance.

Our speaker this will be Dr. Elizabeth Odette Pierre. Dr. Pierre is the assistant professor in Pastoral care and Counseling and Counseling Psychology. She spends her time teaching between the seminary and school of professional studies. She is Haitian-American and proud of it! She loves eating really good food, especially if it’s spicy. She always up for an adventure with God anywhere in the world.

As we continue into the season of Lent, we want to encourage everyone to continue to reflect upon this time of fasting and reflection and to continue to have conversations about how we might experience this more fully together as a community. We also want to encourage you this week to remember the feast of St. Matthias (Feb. 24th), the Apostle chosen to replace Judas in Acts 1:15-26. His life represents the continuing plan of God and the ability of the Holy Spirit within the body of Christ to meet new challenges in ever-changing contexts.

As always, a community lunch will follow chapel!
