Chapel Corner…February 21st

Please join us this Thursday, February 21st for Chapel at 11:00am

We are looking forward to seeing you all at chapel this week! This week we will be joined by Rev. Michelle Dodson. She will be delivering a message entitled “He Meant That Thing: A Serious Look at Idolatry.” This message will surely challenge us and open our eyes to the idolatry that we allow in our lives. Please come with a prayerful heart ready to grow in the faith by our partaking together of the elements and our communal hearing and obeying of the Word. Our scriptures for this week will be Deuteronomy 7:1-2, 25 and Exodus 23:20-24, 31-33 if you would like to prayerfully read and reflect upon them prior.

Rev. Michelle Dodson is the Assistant Pastor at New Community Covenant Church- Bronzeville. She is also a student at Loyola University where she is working towards the completion of a Ph.D. in Sociology of Religion; her focus is on multiracial congregations. Pastor Michelle has been dedicated to the work of racial reconciliation for nearly two decades and has helped to plant two intentionally multiracial churches here in Chicago: New Community Covenant Church-Logan Square and New Community Covenant Church- Bronzeville. She is married to Karlos Dodson and is the proud mother of two amazing daughters.

Please join us for a community lunch in Olsson Lounge afterwards.
