Please help us welcome Rev. Dr. Bret Widman to worship this week! Bret will be our preacher of the day where he will preach from Luke 18:9-14. His sermon title is Leadership of Contempt.
Bret graduated from NPTS in 1992 and was ordained in the ECC in 1994. He has served as a youth pastor, associate pastor, and lead pastor in churches on the west coast. He moved to Canada to teach at Covenant Bible College where he learned the rhythms of discipleship. Bret arrived at North Park University to be the Director of CRUX in 2018. Bret and his wife Janine have four young adult daughters. Bret is a dynamic preacher and leader! Desiree Robertson will lead us in musical worship. Come join us for this service of Word and Table.
Also, as many of you aware, this past summer some significant decisions that have been developing over the past few years were finalized at ECC’s Annual Meeting in June. Join Dean Kersten this Thursday following chapel as we discuss and dialogue about the recent decisions that were made. This is intended to be a safe space to come and share and dialogue together as a community.
