Chapel Corner…September 21

Join us for chapel this Thursday, September 21st, at 11 am.

Week four in each semester is a time to count- to count enrolled students as well as take account of our beginnings. When it comes to our worship life together at NPTS we have made a good start! Dean Perry kicked off our academic year with a powerful message of the power of and responsibility to preach the Word at our convocation service. Dean Kersten continued the trajectory by reminding us how we are to live in Christian community. Last week Student Association President, Mackenzie Mahon provoked us to love and good deeds that we might grow to be inviting and investing in one another. Students have read and prayed and help lead communion as well as worship leadership. We have begun well!

This week’s gospel lesson tells a story about what the kingdom of God is like and explores human jealousy and divine generosity. Dean Deb will be preaching and Nyisha Haney will give us another perspective of the texts through spoken word.  What does Matthew 20 have to teach us about our relationships to one another and to the kingdom of God?

Lunch this week will help you create a graduation to do list- if you plan on graduating in May be there or be square!
