Night of Lights!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Night of Lights! It was nice to see your masked faces! We hope you were blessed by the beauty and fresh air. Here are some pictures if you could not join us:

Traditioned Innovation: a theology series

This semester, North Park Theological Seminary hosted a public theology series called Traditioned Innovation where faculty, scholars, and pastors spoke on theological topics, applicable to our world today. We spent time discussing the multiple pandemics facing our country and how to understand the world around us through many different lenses. Below are links to each conversation if you missed them.

“Embodied Worship over Zoom?: The Possibilities and Pitfalls of Online Worship”

Discovering Signs of God’s Grace in the Midst of Chaos

“Essential Ministry During Pandemics”

Each of the fields will host another conversation in the spring semester, so keep an eye out for the dates and topics!

Unique Opportunity! Hybrid Online Course with SRA Students

You’ve heard about NPTS’ program in Stateville prison. You’re interested in taking a course together with incarcerated students in the School of Restorative Arts but don’t know how. Here is your answer: Spring semester ’21, Drs. Paul de Neui and Obed Manwatkar will teach MNST 5110 Religions and Cultures in a unique hybrid correspondence/online format. This option makes it available to distance students as well! You will be grouped with SRA students into study teams to work on a world religion project, to exchange learning, and to mutually encourage one another. Questions? Contact Paul de Neui (pdeneui@northpark.edu). Sign up online soon for next semester!

Taking a break for the spring semester?

If you are not planning to take any classes this next semester, please make sure to connect with Seminary Academic Services and fill out a quick leave of absence form. This helps us to keep accurate records and also stops the clock on your program completion time.

Remember NPTS has made some adjustments to the spring calendar that are not exactly the same as the University so be sure to check out this post from Seminary Academic Services if you missed it a few weeks back.

Update Self Service

Make sure to keep your contact information current in self service so you have the best access to support from staff and faculty. In order to best contact you, your self service account needs to have current information especially while you are working to register for the spring.
