Student Support Virtual Drop-In Hours

As we head into a month filled with intensive courses happening online, Seminary staff are offering a couple of virtual drop-in hours for student support. So if you have a question about how to access library materials, what goes in your portfolio, how to begin an internship, or anything in between…drop in! Even if you just want to say “hi,” we would love to see your faces. Staff will be available by Zoom today, June 1 and next Monday, June 8 from 1-2pm (CST).

Fall Registration is Open
Please know that NPTS, in partnership with NPU, is diligently planning for the fall semester and keeping safety as a priority. Fall registration is open and the current schedule in available on the website. We will keep you updated and informed if any changes occur and as decisions are made regarding campus reopening.
NPU Counseling Center Summer Availability
Counseling Support Services is available between June 1st and July 31st to provide mental health consultations for students who are taking summer classes and/or are registered for the fall. Students can submit a request by visiting the website at: www.northpark.edu/counseling and clicking on the “Request an Appointment” button.
Requests submitted during the week are generally answered within 24 hours (for urgent requests) and 48 hours (for non-urgent requests). Requests submitted on a Friday or over the weekend will be answered on the next business day.
If you do not wish to request an appointment, but have a question related to mental health, email MaLinda Lee at mklee@northpark.edu.
Interactive Virtual Fundraising Conference
Please join the Academy of Church Leadership this summer for our Interactive Virtual Fundraising Conference starting in June. Conference will include presentations on clergy compensation, tax law, financial controls, and much more. Session one, Creating a Culture of Generosity, will convene June 17, 2020 with guest speaker Rev. Dr. Thad Austin from Duke Divinity School. Session two, Best Practices in Church Fundraising Campaigns, will convene July 22, 2020, with North Park University’s very own, Dr. Wesley E. Lindhahl Ph.D. Session three will convene August 19, 2020 with James W. Murphy, M.A. from the Episcopal Church Foundation. These seminars are free, but registration is required.
