February 23, 12:00-1:30pm (CST)
This panel explores whether (and how) Protestant, multiracial churches are challenging the racial status quo. Sociologist Michelle Dodson offers a conceptualization of the church’s role in the world and its racial discourse which shapes how it engages with issues of racial injustice and reconciliation. The forum will be interactive and offer a useful paradigm for understanding how the topics discussed might apply to ministry contexts.
