Welcome New Students!

We are so excited for you to be joining us this Spring! If you have any questions or need anything, please do not hesitate to reach out to semservices@northpark.edu and we will try to help you as best as we can. We know this is a tricky time to enter into a new school and space, so let us know how we can help this transition be as smooth as possible!

Each fall and spring, NPTS holds an info fair to highlight offices, groups, and resources on campus. In the interest of safety, this year we are taking the fair online. Many departments and groups on campus have made video introductions for new (and returning) students to help you get to know them and what opportunities are available. Meet the friendly faces behind the emails and learn about some of the many resources available to you. Check out the videos.

Basic Wellness Protocols and Reminders:

The Pandemic Response Team, its Risk Mitigation Team and Physical Plant have been working very hard to prepare the campus for a safe and healthy return for students, faculty and staff. There will be many familiar procedures and requirements. The basic rules are these:

  • Assess your health each morning using the free Campus Clear app
  • Stay home if you are sick, and contact Health Services at (773)244-4892 or email healthservices@northpark.edu. (After hours, call Swedish Hospital’s hotline at (773) 907-7700.)
  • Maintain six feet of physical distance between yourself and others.
  • Wear a cloth face mask when you are indoors (except in your own room), and wear it outdoors if you are in a public situation and cannot maintain 6 feet of physical distance between yourself and others.
  • Frequently wash your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer.
  • Disinfect commonly used surfaces and shared items.

CHECK YOUR EMAILS FOR MORE HEALTH UPDATES!

FASPE Seminary Program

FASPE is an intensive, two-week study program in professional ethics and ethical leadership. FASPE is neither a Holocaust studies course, nor a genocide prevention program. Rather, the curriculum is designed to challenge Fellows to critically examine constructs, current developments and issues that raise ethical concerns in their professions in contemporary settings in which they work.

FASPE Seminary challenges its Fellows to recognize their responsibility to exercise ethical leadership in their clerical and pastoral careers. FASPE begins by examining the actions and choices of German and international clergy in enabling and supporting Nazi policies. FASPE then draws on this historical example to help Seminary Fellows grasp their role and responsibility as individuals with influence in their communities and to lead them to identify and confront the ethical issues currently facing clergy of all faiths.
