Summer and Fall 2024 Registration Open
The days are lengthening, and summer is beckoning! Summer 2024 and Fall 2024 course schedules are now posted on the website. Registration for both terms has opened today, March 25! A few important notes:
- Elective courses will be capped at 15 (with additional space for auditors), so be sure to register promptly to ensure your first choice.
- Conversely, any summer course with fewer than 5 registered students on May 1 will be cancelled, so do register by May 1 at latest to ensure your choice will run.
- In registering for SRA courses or Weaving Justice and Peace, note additional steps described on the scheduling page.

The Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) is seeking to fill open chaplaincy positions in a variety of its facilities. The minimum requirements are a Master of Divinity, at least one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education, ability to be endorsed by an ecclesial body (licensure/ordination), and one year of working in a pastoral care setting (such as a church, hospital, etc.)

Crux Formation Coordinator at North Park University

The Crux Formation Coordinator (FC) works in collaboration with the Crux Program
Director to create an environment where Crux students thrive through holistic discipleship and spiritual formation. FCs work on two fronts: first, on the active front, FCs organize and facilitate practical opportunities for students to learn academically, serve across the year, and journey throughout Chicago as a community of discipleship. Second, on the contemplative front, FCs lead Crux students to process the
movement of God both individually and collectively, weaving practical experiences into spiritual breakthroughs while guiding students as they follow Jesus in community together. FCs work directly with Crux students, building meaningful relationships so that each student is supported as they undergo the transformation that comes with communal discipleship. The FC will model a lifestyle of loving and authentic discipleship to Jesus alongside the other Crux staff. Travel is required. Hours average 20/wk. This position can help fulfill your seminary program’s internship requirements. An $8k stipend over the year as well as on-campus housing will be provided.

They lead the discipleship of students in grades 6-12 at Batavia Covenant Church, equipping the church to be effective in discipling youth (with a particular focus on youth ministry volunteers and parents). Spring 2024 Semester Counseling Resources
Counseling Support Services is offering a variety of counseling support options for students this semester free of charge. If you are experiencing unmanageable anxiety, sadness, difficulty adjusting, problems in relationships, or if you are hurting due to the many challenges before us, Counseling can help. We also offer Mental Health First Aid Training so that you can learn how to help friends and family that might be experiencing a mental health challenge or crisis.
Individual Counseling – available to all full-time and degree-seeking part-time students, allows an individual to explore concerns with an objective counselor in order to work toward goals established by the student. Counseling Support Services offers brief counseling, up to 20 sessions, and sessions are scheduled for 50 minutes, primarily on a weekly basis. However, the number and frequency of sessions vary and are determined based on student need and counselor recommendation and availability.

Do you have trouble letting go of anxious thoughts? Do you feel worried all the time? You are not alone. Join us and learn skills to combat anxiety and navigate life’s daily stressors while connecting with peers who share similar experiences.
Let’s Talk – In collaboration with campus partners, Let’s Talk is an informal, walk-in support service that offers confidential meetings with a North Park counselor free for all NPU students at various locations around campus. Students can drop in (no appointment necessary) to speak with a counselor.
All sessions are from 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m M-F at the Health & Counseling office, 3317 W Foster Ave.
