Reminder: Community worship and dinner take place on Tuesdays beginning at 4:30pm across the semester.
Join this week’s community worship to learn from the ECC’s Immigration Immersion: “A Migrant’s Journey: Scripture’s Call to Welcome the Stranger.” Hear from our faculty, Prof. Armida Belmonte Stephens and Dr. Sophia Magallanes-Tsang, who participated in the inaugural immersion this past summer.
During dinner we’ll share upcoming opportunities to learn with and from Latino/a communities, including a travel course to Colombia, course offerings through the Hispanic Scholars Program, and the next Immigration Immersion through LMDJ.

NPTS Public Theology Lecture “Political and Hospitable: Engaging Neighbors”
The biblical field invites you to the first seminar of North Park’s Public Theology series: “Political and Hospitable: Engaging Neighbors” on Wednesday, October 23, from 12-1:30pm CST. Panelists include Dr. Sophia Magallanes-Tsang (North Park Theological Seminary) and Dr. Drew Strait (Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary), who will explore the intersections of faith, hospitality, and politics. Engage with discussions on immigration, Christian nationalism, and how churches can embody true neighborly love. Please join us for this important dialogue in this current moment of our nation’s politics.

Preaching Opportunity in Skokie, IL
Use your preaching skills and encourage a local congregation. The English Ministry of Grace Chinese Christian Church needs either a male or female pulpit supply for October 20, 2024. No Chinese is required as the service is in English. The service is at 9:30am at 5200 Church Street, and the honorarium is $230.00. Dr. Wilson generally preaches 20-30 minutes, depending on the text.
