Final Exam Schedule

The following classes have final exams outside of regular class time:

  • THEO 5130: Christian Ethics — Thursday, Dec. 14 from 11am-1pm in N-25
  • CEDF 7180: Hip Hop Culture and Ethics — Thursday, Dec. 14 from 6:30pm-7:30 pm in N-25
  • BIBL 5109: Greek 1 — Friday, Dec. 15 from 11am-1pm in N-21

Advent Liturgies for Justice: An LMDJ worship resource

Take a look at the new Advent resource put out by Love Mercy Do Justice of the ECC.  It was created to help be a springboard for planning for advent liturgy for your church.  Check it out, it may be a good resource for your personal devos as well!

Inaugural Conference of The Academy of Church Leadership

Hosted by the new Acadamy for Church Leadership at North Park University, the inaugural conference will be on Friday, January 12th from 8 am – 4 pm.

Pastors, church staff, and lay leaders of all denominations are invited to attend the Inaugural Conference focusing on church communications. The conference will include presentations on social media, community outreach, youth engagement, web design, and information technology. Come listen to expert workshop leaders and our Keynote Speaker, a world-renowned theologian, priest, and author Donald Senior!

All attendees must register, see website for details.  Scholarship available for seminary students and those affiliated with a church.

NPTS Christmas Party!

Don’t forget, our NPTS Christmas party is December 5th at 5 pm.  Bring your loved ones and join us for the festivities and fun.

Brandel Library Christmas Party!

Don’t miss the Library’s annual Christmas party on December 5th from 2-3:30 pm.  A good time had by all!

Wednesday Fika

Wednesday December 6th and 13th are the two Fika times remaining this semester.

Come for NPTS’s Wednesday Fika! All students, faculty, staff, and friends & family of the seminary are welcome to attend. Sponsered by NPTS Student Association.  Coffee, tea, and other goodies will be provided (along with gluten-free options). You are also welcome to bring treats of your own if you so desire!

Winter Commencement Service

Come celebrate some of your peers as they walk in the graduation ceremony December 15th @ 7:30 pm in Carlson Gymnasium.

Hosts for January Intensives Needed

If you will be away or have a spare bedroom in your apartment/home, please consider hosting a distance student during their time on campus. CALL FOR PAPERS – Influencing the Political: Religious & Theological Thought in Political Spheres

The eighth graduate student conference at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary is seeking papers for a conference that will be held on April 13, 2018.

Influencing the Political: Religious & Theological Thought in Political Spheres explores ways theological and religious discourse invigorates political forces to produce public life rife with domination and exclusion.
Papers are due January 30, 2018.
