Paid Hospitality Help Needed

Dr. Carol Noren is looking to hire three students to help her host a reception on Thursday, November 30, 2017.
Anyone interested should have some familiarity with hospitality work, be able to be on their feet for about 5 hours, and be able to make their own way to the work site (this would mean taking the red line to Clark & Division, then walking about a block south to the Church of the Ascension at 1133 N. LaSalle). If needed, Dr. Noren can provide a ride back to campus once the job is complete.
You would need to report to work at 5:15 pm, and wear a white shirt/blouse and black skirt or trousers. Each worker will be paid $100 for the evening’s work.

Anyone who is interested must first get in touch with Dr. Noren at cnoren@northpark.edu or telephone 773 267-8864.

ATS Accreditation Visit

Thank you for your hospitality to the ATS committee that was on campus last week for our accreditation evaluation.  Their work on campus is complete, but their evaluation continues. Thank you for your support.

Spring Course Registration is Open

Registration opens on October 30th.  Make sure to read the blog post by Alex Macias on letting opportunities pass you by.  Take a look at the courses for our upcoming term on the Student Resources page of our seminary website.

Cross-Register at a Different Chicago Seminary

Did you know that there are 11 other seminaries in the Chicago area that you can cross-register to take classes at through the Association of Chicago Theological Schools (ACTS)? Check out the course options through ACTS and see if anything strikes your fancy for fits your schedule well.

Duke Summer Institue for Reconciliation

Looking for a unique learning opportunity this summer? Take a look at the Summer Institute for Reconciliation at Duke Divinity School.  Our former adjunct faculty, Rev. Velda Love, is a speaker this year along with several others.  Take a look at more details online. NPTS has had students go regularly; talk to Rev. Deborah Penny about the possibility of you going.

Study Abroad in Sweden

Did you know we have an exchange partnership with the Stockholm School of Theology?  Their students can come study at NPTS and now they have an English semester each spring that allows our students to study in Stockholm. It may be too late for this Spring semester, but take a look at what they offer as you think about future spring terms.

Don’t forget to check out our Job Board and Community Prayers page for updates weekly!
