These have been disorienting and frightening weeks. We continue to pray for you and the ones you love. May you find peace and stay well. As we move forward in this time of social distancing and entirely online learning, we continue to seek ways to connect and engage with one another. NPTS is still a community and we deeply value relationships. As Dean Deb mentioned, we are trying new things to stay in this valuable community even while spread apart.
In that spirit, this week we are launching our first virtual community gathering. We will keep the rhythm of Thursdays, so join us online at 11 am Central Time. This is going to be an organic time, that will likely change over the weeks adapting to best meet the needs of our community. For now, it will be fairly informal, a space for us to check-in with one another and connect. To join us, use this link: https://zoom.us/j/985048366.
In addition to this community gathering time, we also plan to host virtual forums focusing on ministry topics. First up will be a discussion about the ways ministry is shifting during the pandemic and how to think creatively about church. We have invited a few NPTS alums to join the conversation too. This is unchartered territory and there are no experts, but by sharing with one another and exchanging ideas, we will mutually grow, gain new insights, and be encouraged. This forum will take place early next week, so watch for an update and invite.
