Travel Course Summer 2018 – Peacemaking and the Israel/Palestine Conflict

Are you interested in learning more about peacemaking and faith in an international context? You are invited to join the 3-credit course, “MNST-7190: Christian Peacemaking and the Israeli/Palestinian Conflict,” which includes travel to Israel/Palestine from May 25-June 4, 2018. During the trip, students will take part in the “Journey of Understanding,” with attendance at the international “Christ at the Checkpoint” conference. Community Lunch Discussion – January 18, 2018

We will have a community lunch discussion following chapel this Thursday around the recent issues involving our University campus pastor, Pastor Judy Peterson.  See Dave Kersten’s community announcement for more details.

CALL FOR PAPERS – Influencing the Political: Religious & Theological Thought in Political Spheres

The eighth graduate student conference at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary is seeking papers for a conference that will be held on April 13, 2018.

Influencing the Political: Religious & Theological Thought in Political Spheres explores ways theological and religious discourse invigorates political forces to produce public life rife with domination and exclusion.
Papers are due January 30, 2018.
